Balloons!!!
Ever since planes made their way into the great Pacific Frontier, balloons have been used to identify landing zones, wether on land or in the sea. For instance, a green balloon tied to a buoy means that the water is shallow and only small floats can land. A red balloon means no landing, there is most likely a reef near the surface. Blue means that the water is safe to land in for any plane. Yellow means that the sandy runways are smooth and safe. So you see, balloons are useful little pleasures. As well as being markers for pilots and boaters, they are also just fun to watch blow about in the tropical winds. Children love to carry them around in their pudgy grips while parents shop in the market places as well. Balloons are a common commodity here in this Pacific wonderland.
