Corporations and Contractors.... What's the difference?

When the great Pacific Frontier was realized by the world, there was a sudden rush. Almost exactly the same reaction to when gold was discovered at Sutter's Mill in California. And like most frontier rushes, three parties emerged. Homesteaders, contractors and of course, corporations. Homesteaders are usually families that have moved to the Frontier to open stores, trading posts, schools and in some cases, restaurants. Like in many countries around the world there are middle men. On the Pacific Frontier, these are the contractors, pilots, mariners and mercenaries. No matter the job, these men and women will do it, as long as there is financial compensation of course. The last one on the list is the corporations, the world is covered in money grabbing, powerful corporations. The Pacific Frontier has become the target of one  of these major corporations, Folsom & Jay.
